MRI Patients might be the most unsatisfied patients compared to other modalities.
A recent study in the Journal of American College of Radiology conducted a survey among different departments at several outpatient imaging centers. The goal of this survey was to see what are the driving factors in an imaging patient experience.
After analyzing over 6000 surveys, results show most comments were positive, which related to the staff and perceived quality of care. Negative comments came mostly from long wait times, and MRI patients were more likely to share negative experiences. The negative comments were usually from the MRI examination itself.
So how can we change this? How can we improve the MRI experience?
Fortunately, our line of MRI Accessories addresses not MRI patient comfort. MRI Visors, the portable video goggle system, and MRI Stereo, the two-way communication music device, are excellent tools to ease patient discomfort and anxiety. Make your MRI patient experience the best.
